Funeral

So if you read my earlier post, this will not be surprising, but my grandpa died on May 16. I am glad that he is with his brother, mom and dad now and that he is not fighting with his mind and body anymore.

I was able to be the person who did the family flowers and, it was a lot harder than I thought it would be. It was more emotional than I thought it would be, but I am very glad I did it. They turned out awesome!

My sister, Kellyn did the program and it was really nice, it was a tri-fold design with pictures and thoughts, she did a great job!

One other thing I want to make a comment about was the people who did the military rites, they were almost all older veterans, and they were just amazing, they even collected the rifle shells from the 21 gun salute. I have been to several military funerals, but this was by far the best!

Here are some pictures.

Carsen's Question

The other day Carsen asked Steve and me, "How did Heavenly Father make the bugs? Was it out of string or cardboard?" We told him he could pray and ask Heavenly Father. He did, if tells me the answer I will let you all know!

Grandpa Bailey

This weekend my Grandpa had an accident, he fell down his stairs causing bleeding in his brain. Sunday night he had to go into emergency brain surgery to repair the bleeders. The surgery was complex enough, but to make it even worse he had been on blood thinners and aspirin.

In the past 20 or so years my grandpa has had many visits to the hospital, when I was about 10 he fell off of a ladder onto concrete and shattered his elbow and shoulder. He almost lost his arm, but, luckily he had an amazing surgeon who was able to reconstruct it with pins, nuts, bolts, etc. I think it took him about a year to recover from that problem. Then when I was in college he had some serious problem with his heart and had to have open heart surgery, nine bypasses (thanks Dr. Millar!). Now, he has another medical hurdle to overcome. I just pray that the best outcome for him is what happens. No one wants him to come out of this not being able to enjoy life. Please keep him and our family in your prayers!

Yardwork Continued

We have growing things in our flower beds! The best part is that we want them there! For Mother's Day Steve got me a bunch of plants for our yard! It makes me SO happy! We were planting until 10:30 at night, courtesy of a work light! I will take pictures and post them!

Oh--April, everyone has that cake stand!

Bad Hair Day?

So I colored my hair the other day, and only 1 person noticed! Thanks Kell! I guess that means it looks natural? Or when your hair is dark you have to make a drastic change for people to notice?

New Post

Look at me and my bad self posting on consecutive days! Yes, it is true, I am becoming a faithful blogger. Again, I would like to point out that it is the wee hours, what am I doing? Not sleeping obviously!

Well tonight is a quick one, I just have to rant a bit about our yard. I love yardwork, gardening, making the outside look beautiful, but I am getting frustrated! Our yard has consumed days and days of work, and it still looks like crap! AAARRRGGGHHH!!!! I hope we are going to turn the corner soon, if we ever make it I will post pictures, but until then, every time you see a home depot, or a black lawn bag, think of me and my endless endeavor for the perfect yard!
