We discovered (thanks to Grandpa Steve and Grandma Judy) that Alta lets people ski free for the last hour and a half of the day every Friday. I think it is called free after 3 or something like that. So we decided that going skiing when it is free is an excellent choice, especially when Carsen can only make a couple of runs before he is exhausted. So last Friday we loaded everyone up, and headed to the hill. Carsen was excited, he actually was excited for days before we went. It worked out great, we got him to finish his dinner, got him to clean up, not fight with Reaggie, etc.. Because we told him he had to be good to get to go skiing. So we are driving, and he is getting more excited and more excited. He didn't understand that we were going to a specific place to ski, he thought we were torturing him by not letting him just get out of the car and ski where he wanted! So we finally made it up the canyon, parked the car and got them all ready.

You can tell Carsen was super excited! Carsen and Steve headed to the lift line while Raegan and I got her all bundled up. We watched them get on the lift.

Raeggie and I hung out at the lodge. She was excited to see all the kids. She also loved all the attention she got from people! She perched on the edge of a picnic table and looked over the railing at all the skiers below.

Finally they came down the hill! Carsen had a great time!

This is what happened after, on the trip home....

All in all it was a pretty good day!

Way to go Carsen!!!!! Sounds like so much fun. I love the pictures of Raeggie peering over the railing at the lodge. It is so wonderful to see how happy you guys are. I am so glad that Carsen is starting to ski. Between you and Steve it is in his blood. Raeggie and Carsen were born to ski. I love you! See you soon!
Fun, fun, fun memories! It looks like you guys had a good time. Some of our best family memories involved ski trips with you kids. I remember - Kellyn, "I ski free at Targhee when I'm three" song, Derek, the third bird, and Melissa, "Ok Dad, now I want to go fast"(after her first 10 minute lesson). I'm sure you're making great Eror family memories.
What a fun family you/we have. I hope that Carsen won't leave us in the dust---er---powder!
Carsen I am so proud of you! I remember skiing with my dad when I was little. He used to put my skis between his and down the hill we'd go. I can't wait till I have a turn to ski with you!
Steve and Melissa - you guys are awesome. What a fun day. I can't wait till mike and I can take our little ones up to alta and teach them how to ski as good as Carsen.
We love you!
