Any thoughts?

Raegan has been teething lately, she is currently getting 4 teeth...so we get the happy bonus of crankiness, stuffy nose, and terrible diapers. The terrible diapers result in terrible diaper rash. My question to you is, what diaper rash remedies have worked for you? I stick with my Desitin, mostly because I think it works pretty well. I have a hard time switching to another brand because I don't want to try something that doesn't work...but then I am caught wondering...Is there something out there that works better? Am I missing something? Any comments would be appreciated!

What has worked the best for me is home made Butt Pudding,
You mix maylox, A&D, and baby powder. It is awsome. if you have any question email me.

Melissa,
Thanks for sharing that story about working at Bassett. I laughed so hard. How humiliating to be a teenager and be called the wrong sex. I guess I should be glad Ellie is only 9 months old and doesn't know what is happening.
Peyton got a lot of diaper rashes and the only thing that would work for me was just plain vaseline. It healed that sore little bum right up. Desitin never quite did the trick for us, but vaseline is a wonder!!!

Magic Butt paste-- the pharmacist has to concoct it, and I think you have to have a prescription.

I use aquaphor-- it looks just like vaseline, but there is something in it that works. . . .if only it was as cheap as vaseline.

I know this might sound gross, but I use bag balm...you can get it in the amimal section at the store...comes in a green tin. :) It works great for us!!

ok as far as store bough stuff for diaper rash I've found "Butt Paste" works best... and it smells oh so much better than Destitin. I've also had good experiences with Aquafor (it's a lot like vasaline). One trick I've learned (cause one of my kids is alergic to diaper rash creams) is that if you use vasaline or something like it... instead of putting it right on the kids poor sore skin, but it on the diaper. It will then gently rub onto the skin without hurting. (Tip I learned from a nurse).
